To celebrate Australia Day I bring you a podcast about Edmund Barton, Australia's first Prime Minister. A bit of a long episode, which took me a long time to record because I had trouble with the speaking of the English. Jason from History Podcast presents an episode on the origins of Australia Day. Pretty interesting although the pronunciations made me cringe. Listen to this in conjunction with the two episodes from Triple J's Hack about the controversy over Australian flags at the Big Day Out, first one, second one.

Here's how its going to work:

Every fortnight or month depending on how easy I find it I will record around 10 minutes on a topic on history that amuses, interests, concerns or otherwise comes to my attention. In the first episode I will explain who I am and why I did this, information about where I will get my sources and why I will use them and not others and all that other stuff.
